Pound Cakes

Ingredients:

  • 200g of all-purpose flour
  • 200g of unsalted butter, softened
  • 200g of granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 50ml of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixer
  • Measuring Cups
  • Loaf Pan
  • Spatula
  • Cooling Rack

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Stir in the lemon zest and milk until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
