Ingredients:
- 200g of all-purpose flour
- 150g of granulated sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 100g of unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Grease and flour a baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until pale and fluffy.
- Melt the unsalted butter and let it cool slightly, then add it to the egg mixture along with vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to deflate the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar before serving.
