Ingredients:

  • 500g of bread flour
  • 10g of salt
  • 7g of instant yeast
  • 300ml of warm water
  • 15g of sugar
  • 30g of butter

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Oven
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking sheet
  • Kitchen scale
  • Kitchen thermometer

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, salt, and instant yeast, ensuring they are well mixed.
  • In a separate bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, then add the butter, stirring until melted.
  • Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until a rough dough forms.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  • After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air, and shape it into a loaf or individual rolls.
  • Place the shaped dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Allow the dough to rest for another 10-15 minutes, then score the top with a sharp knife for steam to escape.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for around 20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
