Ingredients:
- 500g of bread flour
- 10g of salt
- 7g of instant yeast
- 300ml of warm water
- 15g of sugar
- 30g of butter
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Oven
- Mixing bowl
- Baking sheet
- Kitchen scale
- Kitchen thermometer
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, salt, and instant yeast, ensuring they are well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, then add the butter, stirring until melted.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until a rough dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
- After the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air, and shape it into a loaf or individual rolls.
- Place the shaped dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Allow the dough to rest for another 10-15 minutes, then score the top with a sharp knife for steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for around 20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
